Hi-Line Transfer Assembly

Find Your HDT Global Contact Product Data Sheet

Military, Coast Guard and Civilian Search and Rescue (SAR) helicopters are tasked with the recovery of survivors and casualties from the high sea. To facilitate rescue in high sea conditions, HDT Airborne designed and manufactures a Hi-Line Assembly that reduces the risk of the SAR crewperson being struck by mast or rigging. By lowering the Hi-Line to the vessel's deck, and positioning the helicopter on one side of the vessel, the vessel’s crew can pull the SAR crewperson onto the deck using the guidance of the Hi-Line. The assembly is comprised of a length of 9 mm polyester rope (the Hi-line), a container for the line and a weight lowering assembly. The assemblies have been in service with the UK Royal Navy and RAF as well as many international search and rescue entities worldwide.
