Helicopter Rescue Harness Mk4

Military, Coastguard and Civilian Search and Rescue (SAR) helicopters are tasked with the recovery of survivors and casualties from the sea and other difficult or inaccessible locations. To support this requirement, HDT Airborne Systems developed a range of helicopter rescue harnesses to lower SAR crewmembers to survivors. These have been in service with the UK Royal Navy and RAF as well as many other international search and rescue teams worldwide.

The helicopter rescue harness Mk4 is fitted to the crewperson and connected to the helicopter winch cable hook.  Configurations are available to suit specific helicopter types and operating procedures. The helicopter rescue harness Mk4 is normally used in conjunction with the Helicopter Rescue Strop.
