MCADS

HDT Airborne Systems' MCADS are the only in-service airdrop systems capable of delivering large Rigid Inflatable Boats (RIB). MCADS consist of two airdrop platform systems (PURIBAD, and PRIBAD 21), which enable RIBs to be air dropped into the water ready for immediate use. Each system is parachute extracted and  has main RIB and platform recovery parachutes, the platforms have optional flotation devices to allow recovery during training use.  The boat and platform separate immediately after leaving the aircraft and both descend to the water under their own parachutes.  The parachutists exit the aircraft following the load and land near the boat in the water.  The MCADS system is currently used by US SOCOM, UK, Australian and Scandinavian Special Forces and many others.  HDT Airborne Systems works in partnership with global RIB manufacturers to provide the capability to air drop boats of various designs and sizes.

MCADS Features:

• Trusted by Special Forces worldwide, and fully certified to meet the requirements of the C130, C17, C5 and the future A400M aircraft.
• Accommodates boats from 6.5 to 11 meters in length on a range of platform configurations.
• Uses any proven supply-dropping parachutes of the required capacity.
• Can be rigged for stealth operational activities or training exercises.  The platform lands separately and then sinks immediately without leaving a trace or floats to facilitate recovery.
