M93 Gas Particulate Filter Unit

The M93 GPFU is designed to remove toxic chemical and biological warfare agents in gaseous (vapor) and aerosol (particulate) forms from the air stream, while providing toxic free environment to personnel or equipment by creating positive pressure in the Toxic Free Area (TFA).

  • 100-cfm airflow
  • Self-contained canister
  • ASZM-TEDA carbon media
  •  System Control Module

This 100-cfm filter unit is the smallest and lightest in the HDT Family of Filter Units, designed to protect vehicles and shelters with minimum size, weight, and power requirements. The M93 GPFU mounts directly to the outside shelter wall. Its integrated electronics allow variable speed operation from various types of power without additional converters and it requires only one compact control module. It can also be employed to provide positive pressure collective protection to vehicles and mobile shelters.

The M93 GPFU requires 510 watts of power and can be operated at 50/60 or 400 Hz single phase. The M93 GPFU employs the M48A1 Filter Canister (5-19-7435), which is rated at 100-cfm (170 m3h) and contains gas and particulate elements. The M48A1 employs the ASZM-TEDA carbon and a glass micro fiber particulate medium per MIL-F- 51079 with particle efficiency greater the 99.97% @ 0.3 micron. A system control module provides the interface for the M93 GPFU, including power and an audible and visual low pressure alarm indicating when positive pressure is falling below acceptable levels.
