Manager, AirBeam Shelter Marketing & Sales
Vertigo, Inc., an engineering and manufacturing firm located in Lake Elsinore, California that provides
aerospace component and rapidly deployable shelter system solutions to the defense and civil market
sectors, is seeking a Manager, AirBeam Shelter Marketing & Sales.
GENERAL SUMMARY: Vertigo is the world leader in high-pressure AirBeam systems.
Due to Vertigo’s unique enabling technology, the AirBeam shelter by Vertigo is rapidly becoming
the shelter of choice for today’s military, aerospace and commercial operators. We are looking
for a highly motivated team player who has the confidence and tenacity to drive rapid sales
growth in a highly competitive industry.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Responsible for the entire sales process from prospecting to close
- Prepare market/competitive analyses
- Understand customer needs and requirements
- Present and articulate AirBeam Shelter product features and benefits
- Build relationships with and proactively manage key clients and accounts
- Develop and grow revenues and profits with key accounts
- Generate outbound and follow-up calls to potential customers
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum five years experience in sales and marketing for an engineered products company
- Experience in preparing proposals/quotes
- Minimum BS education level (preferably engineering)
- Military service and troop support equipment logistics experience a plus
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Very strong customer skills/focus
- Comfortable working with limited data sets; decisive/quick thinker
- Excellent communicator at all levels of organization (written and verbal)
- Results oriented personality
- Knowledge of military and/or commercial shelter market a plus
- Knowledge of FEMA, DoD, DHS and related agencies a plus
- Knowledge of US Government procurement and contracting a plus
TRAVEL:
- Primarily domestic, some international — 25 - 35%
US Citizenship required — must be able to obtain a security clearance.
