Vertigo Airdrop Image

Dave Barber, Director
Precision Airdrop Systems: Vertigo designed and developed the AGAS (Affordable Guided Airdrop System) to meet the demanding precision airdrop needs of todays military customers. Development of the system began in 1999 in conjunction with the US Army's Yuma Proving Ground (YPG) and the Naval Postgraduate School. In a radical departure from conventional airdrop systems, the AGAS is designed to operate with existing round cargo parachutes as oppposed to new, costly parafoils. Test results from multiple customer demonstrations have confirmed the AGAS to be the most accurate, reliable, low cost precision airdrop system available to meet today's military needs.

Current versions of the AGAS are available for loads up to 2000 Lbs. Using the same unique technology, Vertigo is currently developing prototypes for lighter and heavier payloads and system derivatives for space applications in conjunction with NASA for Mars landings.

Vertigo is partnered with Capewell Components of Hartford, CT for the production and support of the AGAS.
