AIMS -- Aircraft Inflatable Maintenance Shelter
Air-Transportable, Rapid-Deployment
Military Shelter System
|
AIMS is the first large-scale
prototype shelter to demonstrate advanced airbeam technology. The benefits
of airbeams in this application include light weight and rapid setup.
AIMS is large enough for maintenance operations on one CH-47 helicopter
or multiple smaller helicopters. For the USAF, the shelter is large enough
for two F-22’s, two F-15’s, four F-16’s or JSF aircraft.
